Yayasan Ekosistem Lestari (YEL) is a non- profit organisation focused on environmental issues and support in community development, especially those living adjacent to conservation areas.

The biggest threat to Tripa Peat Swamp are massive forest clearings for commercial purposes, causing the subsidence of this particular peatland area. If the clearings continue, Tripa will disappear under water within the next two decades.
