Training At Nagan Raya District Hospital: Electrocardiography Clinic Training And Strategic Management by MIKM UNDIP

Emergency training conducted on 29th – 30th May 2009. A third module is about ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY clinic for doctors and nurse in emergency room, ICU and Operation Theatre.  Three trainers are Dr. Jetty Sedyawan Sp.Jp (Cardiologist), Dr. Adi Purnawarman (Cardiologist Resident), Mr. Ii Ismail (Emergency unit expert), and one technician Mr. Awing (IT). YEL cooperated with IRC PKGDI (emergency association) Indonesia University with 118 Ambulance Jakarta.
All topics in proposal had been trained by Trainer, because it is the standard of training in Indonesia. Such as:
-    Introduction
-    Physiology of Heart
-    Normal ECG
-    Right / Left Ventricles
-    Right Bundle Branch Block / Left Bundle Branch Block
-    Heart Hypertrophy
-    Thyroid heart disease
-    Arrythmia
Trainer also gave modules to participants. Entire topics written in the modules. Based on our consult with trainer, we expect 30 participants followed the training. On actual training, we have 33 participants (15 nurses with 100% attendance, 2 nurses with 75% attendance, 5 participants with 50% attendance, 1 nurse with 25% attendance, while 7 general practitioners with 100% attendance and 1 general practitioner with 50% attendance). 11 Nurses from ICU room, 3 nurses from Operation theatre, 11 Nurses from Emergency room, 1 Polyclinic General Practitioner, 7 General practitioners from Emergency room.  Test and skill station was performed by trainers. Skill station is about how to install the ECG equipment properly, how to read the result. The test performance is good in average. ECG (Electrocardiography) is one equipment to support diagnose of cardiac disease. The purpose to be performed the training that hospital is the first refers to cure cardiac disease hence the hospital must be prepared to manage it properly.



Strategic Management by MIKM UNDIP
On 24 – 26 May 2009, DR. Sudiro led specific course with on job solution for each unit in hospital.  Initially the introduction was held on 24th may 2009.  Twelve participants attended the meeting. Six Head of unit with assistant attended this meeting.
In the next two days is visiting each unit. He couching six units to be followed up by YEL. He targeted the third level of organizational structure such as head of each unit. He discussed with every head of six units-addressed. 
Waste management unit (head of waste management unit), Physiotherapy unit (Head of unit and four assistants), Warehouse Pharmacy unit (head of unit with two assistants), JAMKESMAS pharmacy unit (responsible man), Nutrition unit (Head of unit with three assistants), Logistic unit (head of unit with one assistants) are the unit had been visited. 
DR. Sudiro asking each staff about Standard of operation during doing their job. Then staffs explained about job description. DR. Sudiro explained that job description is different with SOP. He concluded that nobody in hospital doing SOP for the job.  In this section head of units and consultant can discuss two directions. DR. Sudiro explained how to measure nutrition expenditure to make next future budget. DR. Sudiro gave advice to logistics to improve the administration of logistic. The Administration of hospital must be improved efficiently and effectively.
