YEL merupakan organisasi non profit yang berlokasi di Medan, yang menyediakan dukungan teknis, skill dan melakukan aktivitas pendidikan secara langsung mengenai lingkungan hidup dan mendorong kesadaran masyarakat, program konservasi untuk spesies yang terancam punah dan pengembangan masyarakat, melakukan tindakan pemulihan darurat dan bantuan kemanusiaan.
Dharmawan, 32 year old YEL new prosthetic patient from Medan. Dharmawan was alumni from Sutomo school Medan. From the reunion ceremonial of Sutomo Instituation School Dharmawan met dr.Sofyan Tan. Dharmawan lost his both hands and left leg when he has an accident doing working.
He was iron supplier and design program related with iron. He was stunt by the electricity while doing his work and lost his both hands and left leg after the accident. Now on 17 March 2009 dr.Sofyan Tan ( YEL Chairman) help Dharmawan to lose his anguish of living by giving a new left leg cooperate with Teh Lin Prosthetic & Orthopedic Company SDN.BHD Malaysia.
Mr.Shin Cin Ai Teh Lin company manager together with his assistant Stanley doing the leg measuring first to made a prosthetic leg from fiber. On 14 April 2009 Dharmawan will have a new left leg so he can walk and do his job like a normal person.
